Cutting carbonfiber with scissors is next to impossible as carbon fiber woven will distort its pattern and final product will loose its aesthetic look.  High power laser on another hand is perfect tool to cut plain cabronfiber fabric.  Circle below show sample cut from carbon fiber coated with clear epoxy.
