Deep vs Regular Acrylic Soap Stamps
Many clients are asking us what the difference between regular and deep stamps is. Deep stamps as it says in the name are deeper than regular, which means elevation of your artwork is higher. This allows you to press soap stamp deeper into the soap material without hitting base plate. In addition to avoiding contact with base plate higher artwork level allows soap maker to use more pressure in the stamp to crush the artwork in the material, this is helpful when working with harder soaps such as hot process soaps or olive oil based soaps (note we don’t recommend pressure crushing as this degrades quality of artwork BUT if you have no other option and you need to press into cured stamp then deep stamp is the only way to go.)
In general we recommend using deep stamps for all projects; of course deep stamps are more expansive so regular stamps exist as entry level alternatives.

Note, actual artwork elevation will vary based on weather condition at the time of running the stamp + artwork style. Very often we see that plain text stamps come out deeper then more complex stamps.
